The Organization of Kingston Women Artists Current Events Blog
Agnes Etherington Art Center, Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario
2012 artists exhibiting in the Mill Street Gallery are Alana Kapell, Julie Withrow, Wendy Cain, Rebecca Cowan and Mary O'Brien.
The Organization of Kingston Women Artists (OKWA) is a non-profit independent association formed in 1989, with a current membership of approximately 30 artists. Membership is by juried application only. The organization provides a forum for mutual support and exchange of information and ideas among local professional women artists. An annual exhibition serves to increase public awareness and appreciation of contemporary women's art.
In addition to exhibition opportunities, we offer workshops and Art Talks to our members. OKWA artists are individually active in teaching, lecturing and exhibiting their work locally, nationally, and internationally.
